Genting Highland-er~~ (part 1)

10th of August marked yet another trip to Genting since my last visit in 2001. Obviously, I was looking forward to this trip after 6 years of last visiting the place.

Being the lazy arse that I am, I'll show pictures rather than typing my experience out because, well, that's what everyone wants to see, no? And it's so much easier to comprehend especially to those inferior minds. Haha. Jk jk!

But honestly, I'm just plain lazy. So sue me. Dial 1-800-SUE-ME-600. =P

The journey started off innocently enough. You gotta love AirAsia!

After arriving at LCCT (Low Cost Carrier Terminal), we had to wade through the KL rush-hour traffic to make our way up to Genting. Total time taken: 2 FRIGGIN hours in traffic.

But our taxi driver was an interesting guy to talk to. Loved the way he interpreted politics in Malaysia. Amusing guy, really.

Awana Genting Highlands resort. It was located on the foothills of Genting and it took approximately a 10 minute car ride to the top. Yep, that's our accommodation for the next few days.

This was where we're gonna stay for the next 2 nights.

The hotel wasn't too shabby and had this all-so pristine and be-one-with-nature theme incorporated into its interior design. I had a great time in this place.

That's a Korean-Japanese brothel in there, yo~

As for the rooms I was going to stay in, well, this is where I'll be bunking. An approximate 300m off the ground!

Um...it's....tall?

I have a rather messy family, I know.....

With my fears of heights aside, the view my room provided was spectacular!

Hey, I can see my house from here!

After a good night's sleep, we were all geared up and ready to take on Genting Highland!

Obviously, a trip to Genting isn't a trip at all if one didn't try out the cable cars. Said to be the longest cable-car route in all of South East Asia, I expected no less of it. The queue was thankfully short seeing as it was early in the morning and it wasn't during the holiday season.

As we got nearer and nearer to the top, our vision began to blur as the thick morning mist enveloped our gondola. A silhouette came into view minutes later and I realised it to be Genting Highlands in all its resplendence and beauty.

And finally, the only thing that separated me and the Outdoor Theme Park, was a intense, unbearably long 10 minutes walk from the cable cars to the theme park.

Look out Genting! Cuz' HERE I COME! Muahahahhaha
